“Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:30-31 NKJV
We all want to be youthful and young, but being young is not a number, it’s not a look, and it’s not the equivalent to strength.
Being young and being strong
is keeping our eyes on the Lord Jesus;
Like how a waiter keeps an attentive eye on his special customer,
honored and privileged to serve and please.
The Lord is our renewed Strength.
The Lord is our renewed youth.
Together with Him we soar like eagles,
we run without being weary,
and we walk without being faint.
