The Good Treasure

the good treasure

“How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” – Matthew 12:34

Something about this verse got to me. And I started digging and meditating.

God is good all the time.

God is good all the time
I’ve always been intrigued by these verses in Luke 18.
“Once a religious leader asked Jesus this question:
“Good Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?”
“Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked him. “Only God is truly good.”
Luke 18:18-19 NLT
Is Jesus saying that He is not God?
Is He saying that He’s not GOOD?
No, He is saying that only God is truly GOOD,
so if you call me GOOD, you are actually calling me God!
It’s so good! 🙂
I pray that you see Him in His GOODness towards you today.
To spice up how you see Him, the word GOOD in Greek is ‘agathos’,
which means: good, pleasant, agreeable, joyful, happy, excellent, honorable etc.
“For the Lord is GOOD. His unfailing love continues forever,
and his faithfulness continues to each generation.”
Psalms 100:5 NLT

Being Brave Without Even Realizing

Being Brave Without Even Realizing

WAIT and hope for and expect the Lord;
and let your heart be stout and enduring.
Yes, WAIT for and hope for and expect the Lord.
Psalm 27:14 AMP
How to be brave?
The answer is: Wait!
How to be BRAVE and of good courage?
It’s wrapped up in the ‘WAIT and HOPE FOR and EXPECT THE LORD’
This is not a passive or discouraged wait;
It’s a confident expectation of good;
It’s a knowing that He is faithful and a promise-keeper;
It’s being settled and assured.
It’s delighting in the Lord.
Meditating on His Word.
It’s drawing near to Him,
your heart RESPONDING to His,
It’s looking to Him.
It’s SEEING a big Jesus.
That’s when your heart burns,
and you step out in trust;
Knowing that all things are possible with the Lord.
You are being brave without even realizing it.
Focus on the WAIT – it’s mentioned twice!
The BRAVE is in the WAIT.
